OVERVIEW
To become a
fully integrated orginisation that reflects the diversity of our
country. An achievement that will be sustainable in the long term and
will uphold the values and integrity of the orginisation. The
orginisation will be continuously reviewed and the necessary actions
taken to achieve the highest possible rating level.
DIRECT EMPOWERMENT
An ownership
and management option has been put into place whereby current employees
who have the necessary attributes will be identified and given such opportunity
to participate.
HR DEVELOPMENT
Previously
disadvantaged individuals are always given preference when the
orginisation requires additional staff. Such individuals are assessed
on a regular basis and training is identified to improve the skill
level of such individuals.
INDIRECT EMPOWERMENT
The
orginisation’s procurement policy has been successfully implemented.
This policy will continue and be reviewed on a regular basis. The
orginisation is engaging in a process to identify black enterprises
in the same industry who require mentoring. Knowledge will be
transferred on a sustainable basis to such enterprises. The
orginisation also identifies black individuals who wish to enter the
industry through education and the orginisation funds such education.
Community projects are also being identified to which our skills and
expertise can be applied to ensure successful completion.
FUTURE GROWTH
We believe
that, based on the above strategy, we can provide meaningful
empowerment and improve our current rating of level 4.
